ODP is the first dry port in Egypt which is carried out by a Consortium between ELSEWEDYELECTRIC and DB Schenker under public private partnership with the General Authority for Land and Dry Ports.
October Dry Port is a model integrated port facility operating in Egypt in accordance with the most recent worldwide digital technologies.
October Dry Port is located in the industrial and logistical zone of the new 6th of October City. ODP goal is to reduce the congestion in seaports and quickening the supply chain activity for both exports and imports. Also, reduce demurrage costs for importers in Egypt.
- With a capacity of 720,000 TEU annually
- The dry port stretches over an area of 420,000 SQM
- Carbon emissions saved -(40,000 Co2 Tonnes a year through the shift from road to rail)
•October Dry Port project was awarded the IJ Global Transport Deal by EBRD.
