The distinguished ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Waleid Gamal El-Dien, Chairman of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE); Ahmed El Sewedy, CEO and President of ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC (EE); and Mohamed El-Etreby, Chairman of Banque Misr. Joining them are Hanan El Rihany, CEO of Elsewedy Technical Academy, Mohamed AlKammah, CEO of Elsewedy Industrial Development (SD); along with other notable local and international business leaders.

Eng. Ahmed El Sewedy stated, “The establishment of a new branch of Elsewedy Technical Academy aligns with the vision of ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC to support technical education in Egypt and contribute to the development of highly skilled human resources in accordance with global educational standards. Our aim is to meet the growing demand for such education, cater to the needs of the job market, and strengthen the national industrial sector, in line with the state’s endeavors.”

Eng. Mohamed AlKammah – CEO, Elsewedy Industrial Development (SD), commented, “Elsewedy Technical Academy complements the services offered by SOKHNA360 through cultivating a highly skilled workforce, giving them the chance to receive training in the factories and companies within the industrial city. By launching STA and the upcoming second branch of Elsewedy University of Technology, we endeavor to create a hub for technical education, thereby developing an integrated community and drawing in more investments.”

Emphasizing the significance of the SOKHNA360 project in the investment landscape, AlKammah noted, “As part of our unwavering commitment to bolstering SOKHNA360, we proudly inaugurated Egypt’s First Pivot Irrigation Factory, which has been operating at full capacity for nearly two years. Furthermore, the industrial city encompasses various other ventures that present lucrative opportunities for investors. The availability of innovative services and state-of-the-art facilities, combined with the strategic location, further enhance the appeal of these projects.”

Hanan El Rihany, CEO of Elsewedy Technical Academy, elaborated, “We take pride in establishing the fourth branch of STA in the integrated industrial city, SOKHNA360. This new addition capitalizes on the remarkable success that the academy has witnessed over the years, striving to meet the demands of the job market and redefine technical education according to global standards. The new academy is designed to accommodate 1350 students in a three-year program and train over 200 apprentices annually, enhancing the skills of the existing labor.”

El Rihany further explained, “The new branch of the academy intends to foster training partnerships between factories and companies in the region, providing students with valuable hands-on experience within these industrial settings. The focus of these partnerships will be on key strategic areas that serve the region, including logistics, green hydrogen plants, information technology, hospitality, and more. The academy will be established within the new Elsewedy Educational Complex in Sokhna, situated adjacent to Elsewedy University of Technology. This setup offers students the opportunity to pursue their studies in the dual vocational training system, choosing from the various majors offered by the university.”

SOKHNA360, spanning over 10 million square meters, is being developed and designed by Elsewedy Industrial Development (SD) in collaboration with international experts. It is built upon thorough studies to ensure the provision of all essential requirements for a sustainable, intelligent, and integrated industrial city that caters to the needs of manufacturers and investors in the region. Strategically located on the Red Sea coast within the Suez Canal Economic Zone, SOKHNA360 occupies a prime position at the center of domestic trade in Egypt and major trade routes connecting Africa, Asia, Europe, and the MENA region.
